A form of personal protection equipment (PPE), gloves are one of the first lines of defense in protecting workers from injuries and other serious health risks. Gloves come in many different shapes and sizes, made with a variety of materials, and are used in many industries for varying applications. Choosing the right glove will require you to consider factors like durability, dexterity, and strength to choose the best material.

There are many different disposable glove substrates available, each to suit different needs.  The best glove for your facility will be based on several factors including use, thickness, tensile strength, elasticity, and puncture and chemical resistance requirements.

To help you with your search, we reviewed one of the most common glove brands frequently used by many households and establishments - the Comfy Package Disposable Gloves. Its  two main products are the Clear Powder-Free Vinyl Disposable Plastic Gloves and the Powder-Free Disposable Nitrile Gloves. Both are general purpose gloves that are commonly used for food handling, janitorial, salons/spas, automotive, and even healthcare as well as cleaning gloves.

Clear Powder-Free Vinyl Disposable Plastic Gloves

Comfy Package Vinyl Disposable Gloves are a must-have in every home, office, or car. These disposable gloves are vinyl, not rubber, and free from powder. Users find them easy to use while being able to manage even delicate tasks. These disposable gloves are also easy to slip on and off even if you have large hands and long fingers. The gloves come in four sizes  —  small, medium, large, extra large — and available in packs of 100, 200, and 1000 pieces.

What We Love About It

  • Puncture & Tearing Free

It's crucial to remember that there are several sorts of gloves, and not all of them will give enough protection in all situations. Thin latex gloves, for example, are useless in circumstances where punctures or rips are a possibility. Comfy Package Vinyl Disposable Gloves are made of a stronger transparent plastic that resists ripping and puncturing while yet allowing finger flexibility.

  • Strong Barrier

Comfy Package Vinyl Disposable Gloves will give you a strong barrier in kitchen or cleaning so you are protected from chemicals, odors, etc. When using gloves as protection from chemicals, note that the material of gloves used in chemical resistant applications must be carefully selected to ensure effectiveness.  In this matter, Comfy Package Vinyl Disposable Gloves can only provide a strong barrier against common cleaning agents and household chemicals.

  • Perfect Ambidextrous Fit

These disposable gloves fit well with both right and left hand to avoid confusion while allowing the user to hold up for most projects. One advantage of ambidextrous gloves is that when one glove wears out, you can easily replace it without thinking whether it is a right hand or a left hand glove. Since it will fit either hand, it doesn’t matter if it’s a right hand or left hand model.

  • Multi-Purpose

If you have a group of tasks that have relatively similar levels of protection (cuts, impact, abrasion) needs, you can certainly pick one glove that will serve well for all of those tasks. The Comfy Package Vinyl Disposable Gloves is great as food service gloves, cleaning gloves, food prep gloves and much more similar household activities.

  • No Powder

One major advantage of Comfy Package Vinyl Disposable Gloves over regular disposable gloves is that these gloves are free from powder.  Cornstarch is added to powdered gloves, making them simpler to put on, especially in crowded areas, and preventing gloves from sticking together. However, the powder can stick to the user's skin and produce sensitivities or allergies if worn for an extended amount of time. These also cling to hands, clothing, or surfaces after removal has also been a source of worry in food service establishments, posing a risk of contamination.

To prevent such concerns, powder free latex gloves go through a process called chlorination, which makes latex gloves less form fitting and eliminates the requirement for powder for simple donning and removal. Gloves are treated with a chlorine solution, washed with water, and dried to eliminate the majority of the powdery residue and latex proteins during the procedure.

Powder-Free Disposable Nitrile Gloves

The Comfy Package Nitrile Disposable Gloves features the same benefits as with its vinyl counterpart, only that these are nitrile gloves. They are both latex free, which makes them safe for people with allergic reactions to latex. Chemicals, temperature fluctuations, and oils and fats are all more resistant to a nitrile glove. Vinyl gloves are water, oil, and fat resistant, but not as durable as nitrile gloves.

These disposable gloves come in convenient pack amounts of 100, 200, and 1200 count per box. Available options are black nitrile, synthetic nitrile, and regular nitrile in small, medium, large, and extra large sizes. Based on user reviews, the Comfy Package Nitrile Disposable Gloves is a quality glove at a reasonable price. Most users love this product for good quality, long-lasting, and versatility while maintaining near-complete hand sensitivity and movement.

Ambidextrous that fits both right and left hands comfortably and correctly without causing confusion or needing extra focus.

  • Ample Protection

By keeping users from coming into touch with any pathogens, obstacles, or unclean items, the gloves provide ample protection and maintain an establishment’s sanitation. Nitrile gloves have a one-time use characteristic that enables for the safe, easy, and quick disposal of any germs handled.

Verdict

While Comfy Package gloves are indeed competitive with its features, there are user concerns on its being free of powder. The disadvantage is that gloves without powder are more difficult to remove quickly and may have a weaker grip. Due to the additional work required in the chlorination process, they are also more expensive than powdered gloves. Another concern we saw was the smell of the nitrile gloves, which some reviewers described as strong and overpowering.
